Doors play a very important role Balinese architecture. The old doors in Bali were made as tall as the owner (that is, the man) of the house. The door is installed a bit higher than the floor. The simpler detail of the carving, the lower cast of the owner in former times. This has changed now as most everyone likes to make detailed carving on they door. This kind of traditional door is now very rare.
