The simplest functional art in the house, Indonesian traditional household items were formerly handmade from natural materials such as bamboo, clay and wood, the latter being most popular material as it was durable, easily found and easily carved. The fine hand carving on our original old household items enriches their simple design.

CORN PLANTER

This corn planter was used by Dayak people in Kalimantan (Borneo). Made from one piece of wood, handcrafted on the top of the wood to cause a noice so that the birds would not eat the corn seeds.
